Trump Says He Doesn’t Need Briefings That Say ‘Same Thing Every Day’

tsecPresident-elect Trump said he doesn’t need presidential intelligence briefings every day because he is “a smart person” and doesn’t “have to be told the same thing in the same words” every day.

Trump in an interview on Fox News Sunday that was taped Saturday was asked about reports that he is getting the presidential daily intelligence briefing only about once a week rather than every day.

“I get it when I need it,” Trump said. “These are very good people that are giving me the briefings,” he said, but added, “You know, I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years … I don’t need that. But I do say, ‘If something should change, let us know.'”

  1. #1 I doubt Trump will be able to put the 28 years of America’s declining back on its feet in 8 years. The people of America will surely want him to stay on another 8 years.

  2. I’ve seen similar briefings. Trump is absolutely correct. They are like a soap opera: they don’t change very much day to day. Once a week is fine, and he’s already said he wants to be informed immediately if there are any significant changes.

  3. #5 You’d much rather Mainstream Media making up Fake News on Trump, huh?

Trump is a genius! We’d never know the truth if not for his Twitters. He should just keep it up if he knows what’s good for him.

  4. I want to go on record as predicting that within a year the sensible Republicans in Congress will join up with the Democrats and impeach Trump, hopefully before he does too much harm. Little as I agree with Pence, he’s a lot more solid and rational.

  5. Unfortunately, the man is clueless about international affairs and has a short attention span. It seems that he’d rather spend his time tweeting than attending boring briefings so necessary in the decision making process.
Some of his proposed cabinet choices now as little about their agencies as Trump does. Woe are we.
