The councilmen of the religious and chareidi parties in the Jerusalem government have signed a letter given to Mayor Nir Barkat informing him that their support for the city�s annual budget is contingent on shmiras shabbos.

The letter dated Sunday, 25 Kislev demands maintaining the city�s status quo regarding religious matters. They also demand the city refrain from funding events that include chilul Shabbos.
