It was just a couple of weeks ago when the nation learned of the horrific Shabbos murders in Moshav Migdal R”L by a father who seems to have gone over the edge. Killed in the murderous rampage were Mrs. Dor Sela (23) and her children Yosef (22 months) and Binyamin (8 months) along with a neighbor, 11-year-old Nachman Atiya. His younger brother Natan, who was seriously wounded but saved himself by playing dead survived the ordeal.

Natan, who was stabbed many times in his face and head decided to remain still as if he was dead, leading the attacker to believe he too was counted among the murdered. At the first opportunity, he fled via a window.

A special hakoras hatov ceremony was held for Natan in Hotel Lavi in northern Israel during which Natan was presented with a certificate citing his enormous bravery and using him as an example for all as to how one must act in unpredictable situations.

The murderer is the husband and father of Mrs. Sela and her two small children, who was apprehended and remanded. Nachman was a neighbor to the family who was invited for Shabbos lunch with them along with his brother Natan. http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/518350/suspect-remanded-for-ten-days-in-moshav-migdal-murders.html

  1. Natan should have a refuah shelemah and may the Rebono Shel Olam console him and his family among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
