  1. What a shock! Once again after having all of fall, winter and most of spring to do this work they begin right at the beginning of the summer season.

  2. 1&2,
Contrary to what you think this isnt “just in time for the summer.” There is an ongoing construction project in place over most of what you refer to as Route 17 and what others are calling the Future I-86 as there are many parts of the road that need upgrading before it can become part of the Interstate system. For example, in the area north/west of Liberty going to Roscoe there is lots of work going on to move the highway to the south in order to do away with at grade intersections. As far as most of the work on this road is concerned, there really isnt much time they could do it as it is quite cold & snowy out there much of the winter and very much into the spring.

  3. I suppose, avi732 and Hocker411, that in your estimation the road repairs should have been done in the depths of what was probably the worst winter for decades.
