Israel Continues Preparations for Iranian Assault


According to Greek media reports, the Israel Air Force will be taking part in joint naval exercise with Greece, training that will include long-range missions and mid-air refueling. According to report in the daily Haaretz, the training event is set for this week, over the Aegean Sea, dubbed MINOAS 2010.

The Greek media reports state 10 IAF planes will be participating, five F-15i Rams and five F-16i Sufa fighter jets, both capable of carrying out long-range missions. A refueling plane will also accompany the IAF delegation. Greece will supply 15 fighter planes.

The exercise is taking place at a Greek air base in Souda Bay, on the island of Crete.

The Office of the IDF Spokesman confirms the joint training event which was planned ahead of time as part of the annual training events for the air force.
