BREAKING NEWS: Shots Fired At Turkish Embassy In Tel Aviv [UPDATED 12:40PM EST]


12:10PM EST: There are reports of shots fired at the Turkish Embassy in Tel Aviv.

UPDATE 12:20PM EST: One person has been shot according to preliminary reports. A large police and MDA response is on the scene staging at the Embassy located on HaYarkon Street.

UPDATE 12:23PM EST: According to initial reports, a man who came to the Turkish Embassy unclothed was shot and wounded.

UPDATE 12:26PM EST: IDF Troops have not yet entered the building.

UPDATE 12:30PM EST: There are conflicting reports from civilians. Some reports say that a security guard fired at someone, other report that shots were fired inside the building, and hostages are being held.

UPDATE 12:32PM EST FROM YNET: An official police statement said one person was shot at the site, while another incident may still be taking place inside the embassy walls. Large police forces were deployed at the scene and are waiting outside the embassy, as diplomatic protocol prevents them from going in.

UPDATE 12:40PM EST: Gunman is a Palestinian from the West Bank city of Ramallah, and has reportedly barricaded himself in an office inside the embassy, with two hostages, and was threatening to kill any Jews who entered.
