[PHOTO LINK BELOW] More than 30 people were injured Tuesday morning after Egged bus 405 collided with a truck on highway 1 near Ben Shemen interchange. One person (an Israeli Arab) waskilled and four sustained moderate injuries. The rest are lightly injured. Highway 1was completelyclosed to traffic.
The accident took place during rush hour, near the exit to highway 443. It is still unclear what caused the crash, but it was not a head-on collision.United Hatzalah who was at the scene, said the accident was serious, and that trapped passengers had to be rescued.
