TEHILLIM – Hagon Rav Chaim Stein In Critical Condition

Please take a moment and be Mispallel for Hagon Rav Chaim Stein Shlita, the Rosh Yeshiva of Telshe Cleveland, who has taken a turn for the worse R”L, and is in extremely critical condition.

His name is Chaim Yaakov ben Chasia Miriam.

Rav Chaim Stein, is the senior Rosh Yeshiva in the United States. As one of the few remaining links to pre-war Europe, Rav Chaim continues to serve as a beacon of light and inspiration to the entire Olam Hatorah and the wider frum community.

May he have a Refua Shelayima along with all other Cholei Yisroel.

  1. Reb Chaim is probably the only Yid alive today who has learned Shas through Daf Yomi from its inception, through its cycles.

  2. Rabosai, I think the Rebbono Shel Olam is sending us a message with all the Gedolim getting sick and the recent petira of 2 Gedolei Olam. Tehillim is great to say for a Choler, however its obvious that more is at stake and Hashem wants US to change. It says that the Tzaddikim are niftar to be mechaper on the aveiros of the dor. Let’s try and stop talking by Davening and being more nizhar in Shemiras Eynayim. Maybe then Hashem will see that we truly love him and bring Moshiach bimheira Biyameinu.

  3. WIY – I actually believe that Hashem is showing us that living such holy lives so filled with Torah and goodness, has allowed these Gedolim to live extremely long lives – far longer than 3 score and 10 generally alloted to people. Think of the thousands of students that have had the privilege of learning at tables of these men. To me, it seems that serving their fellow Yidden so graciously has extended their lives far beyond what is usual. It is not always necessary to put such a negative slant on everything. I thing that most of us would be happy to live such a long life. If you notice, these men show or showed no signs of dementia despite their advanced ages due to their continuing to actively teach and remaining involved in communal affairs. For them there is no such thing as retirement. I wish Rav Stein a speedy recovery. Refuah Shleimah.
