City Hall � Councilman Simcha Felder (D-Brooklyn) hired long-time community activist Ari Hoffnung to serve as Chief of Staff of his New York City Council offices.� Hoffnung served as campaign manager for Felder’s successful 2001 Council bid and recently worked as a Managing
Director at Bear Stearns.
“I am thrilled to have Ari on my team,” said Councilman Felder. “It’s a rare opportunity to hire someone with the unique skill set and professional experience that Ari has acquired in the private sector and as a community activist.”
“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to work on Councilman Felder’s staff and to fight for the people of Southern Brooklyn,” said Hoffnung.
Hoffnung is a fifth generation New Yorker and a grandson of Holocaust survivors.� He currently serves as Co-President of the RJCC and is the former Chair of the Parks Committee of Bronx Community Board Eight. He is also active in civic and Democratic organizations.� Prior to his
career in finance, Hoffnung was the Public Policy Fellow at the Hillel International Center in Washington, DC.
