TONIGHT, June 14, 2010 at 8:00 PM, the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park (JCCMP) will be continuing their Educational Seminar Series with a special topic designed for all parents entitled “Kids… They don’t come with instructions…”. The seminar will take place at Merkas Yisroel – Marine Park Jewish Center, located at 3301 Avenue S at the corner of East 33rd Street, in Marine Park, Brooklyn at 8:00 PM. Please arrive early to ensure prime seating as the past few Educational seminars have had standing-room only audiences.

In today’s day and age, children are growing up quickly and are often presenting their parents and caregivers with situations that can be puzzling to deal with on their own. From infants to teens, it is of great importance to learn how to relate to a child and how to deal with him or her in an effective yet caring manner. There are rarely any open forums where parents or caregivers can ask questions or receive information on how to assist their children with any behavioral or academic issues that they might have.

With that in mind, the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park, partnering with Yeled V’ Yalda have put together a panel of childhood experts to discuss and answer questions regarding children and the best way to deal with academic issues that children may have. This seminar will also be featuring the renowned educator and lecturer Dr. David Lieberman. Dr. Lieberman is an award-winning author and internationally recognized leader in the fields of human behavior and interpersonal relationships. Dr. Lieberman will be presenting a very informative and entertaining workshop and will be answering questions from the audience.

Among the topics to be tackled at the JCCMP’s – Yeled V’Yalda seminar are: How to help Children who are having trouble interacting with others, What to do when children have tantrums, How to deal with children who can’t understand new concepts or can’t repeat what they are taught, How to assist children who have a hard time sitting still, and many more interesting topics.
