Tuesday Morning News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


Mon, 22:07: Two Kassam rockets rocket landed in southern Israel, in the Shar HaNegev region. Baruch Hashem there are no reports of injuries or damage.

** IAF strikes weapons manufacturing facility in Central Gaza in retaliation for rocket attack.

** Hamas Councilman Mahmud Abu-Tir, who was released from an Israeli prison in 2010 and banished from Jerusalem, was arrested against by Israel. He was arrested in his home in the Ramallah district during the predawn hours.

** Gershon (Gigi) Peres, brother of President Peres, was niftar in Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning at the age of 85. The funeral is set for 16:00 in Kiryat Shaul on Wednesday.

** Tel Aviv City Hall has informed occupants of social justice tents they must vacate by Rosh Hashanah, September 28th.
