Monday Morning News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


23:30: A rocket fired by Gazan terrorists landed in an open area. There were no injuries or damage.

** The IAF during the night bombed terror targets in Hamas-controlled Gaza.

** Despite the all clear from the IDF, the southern municipalities of Beersheba, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat and Gan Yavne announced schools will remain closed.

** Continuing to wage a battle against growing anti-Israel propaganda, the IDF launched its Salam Aleykum Arabic Facebook page. The effort was spearheaded by Major Avichai Adarai, an officer in the Arabic press department of the IDF Spokesperson Unit.

** Settlers are being blamed for injuring an Arab woman in her 80s while she was harvesting olives near the village of Muchmas, on the Alon Road NE of Ramallah. She was struck in her head with a rock. The victim was transported to a PA hospital.

** The Knesset winter session gets underway today at 16:00.

** “Price Tag” and “Kahane was right” were spray painted on a restaurant targeted in a Sunday night arson attack on Yeffet Street in Tel Aviv. Police are investigating.

** Schools scheduled to reopen in Ashkelon on Tuesday.
