Tuesday Evening News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


17:35: A border policeman was lightly wounded in a rock-throwing attack in the Hebron district.

18:20: A Kassam rocket landed in an open area in the Shar HaNegev district. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

** Senior Hamas official Sheikh Hassan Yousef and his son, who were arrested by Israel a number of days ago, will remain incarcerated for the next six months.

** UN human rights officials report Syria has murdered over 3,500 people since start of violence, adding that 19 were killed on Sunday alone.

** Israel has lifted its travel advisory on Georgia, Russia after reevaluating the situation in that country.
