Right Wingers Enter IDF Base to Protest

Ten people affiliated with the political right-wing on erev Shabbos entered the IDF’s Yehuda & Shomron Division Command with protests signs. The base is located adjacent to the community of Beit El.

The youths protested the continued destruction of outposts and the designation of ‘closed military zone’ on those areas, prohibiting them from returning. They carried signs against IDF Central District Commander Major-General Nitzan Alon, who is viewed as an opponent to the settlements and outposts.

The detainees were released by police later in the day with restrictions. They are being represented by a Honenu attorney.

  1. The IDF is trespassing on their property, so I see no reason why they should not return the favour. And unlike the IDF, all they did was peacefully protest.
