Less Than 50 Arab Terrorists Continue Hunger-Strike

It was originally reported that when convicted Arab terrorists imprisoned in Israel began a hunger strike some two weeks ago, demanding improved conditions, there were over 1,000 participants.

It is now reported that number has dropped to about 45, showing clearly, Marwan Barghouti and his Fatah party failed to enlist the widespread support they felt the hunger strike would succeed in gathering. This despite support from the PA (Palestinian Authority), including a general strike in support of hunger-strikers.

In a related matter, Ynet reported on Independence Day morning a 45-year-old Ramallah resident hunger-striking in solidarity with his terrorist brothers, died as a result. He suffered from an underlying kidney illness, PA officials report.

It is added the man was also imprisoned in an Israeli prison in the past for his terrorist-related activities.
