PHOTOS: Last Preparations Underway In Meron As Lag B’Omer Nears

In a number of days, many visitors will begin arriving in Meron for the Lag B’Omer weekend, which includes many mispallalim renting rooms in Meron and the surrounding communities for Shabbos.

At the site of the Tziyun of Rashbi and the yeshiva, work is going on to complete preparations for the hundreds of thousands expected to pass through.

The Chasdei Shabtai organization operates in Meron all year, and is now finalizing the set up for Lag B’Omer, which is the largest gathering of Jews in Israel annually.

Some emergency numbers ahead of Lag B’Omer include: Israel Police 100, MDA 101, Zaka; which operates to locate and reunite missing children with family in Meron Lab B’Omer 1220, United Hatzalah; which operates a clinic and first responder throughout Meron during Lag B’Omer 1221.

Adults are strongly advised to use stickers, placed on small children with their names and a phone number of those accompanying them to facilitate reuniting the little one who get lost.
