Prime Minister Ehud Olmert today welcomed the end of the teachers’ strike and the signing of an agreement with them.  He said: “My government has set for itself the goal of improving the education system in Israel.  Thus, it has been decided that the education system will receive considerable budgetary supplements and – at the same time – will undergo fundamental reforms.”
