Kosel Rov: Mincha Before Trump Visit Was Like Yom Kippur

Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita, Rav of the Kosel and Holy Sites, accompanied President Donald Trump, his family and staff on their visit to the Kosel Monday afternoon.

In an interview with Radio Kol Chai, the Rav explains he had davened beforehand with special Kavana for the visit to be a success. His Mincha was “like on Erev Yom Kippur.”

The Rav adds, on Sunday night he had gone to daven at the Kever of R’ Shloim’ke M’Zvhill at Chatzos. After the meeting with Trump, he said ‘Nishmas’ at the Kosel, for the meeting had been smooth and successful.

  1. What does the Rav think made the visit a “success”?? The fact that there were no disruptions? The fact that Trump behaved like a mensch? The fact that after multiple times, the WH finally admitted that Yerushalayim is part of EY and that the Kosel was in Yerushalayim, but then refused again to make the obvious connection that the Kosel is in EY?

I guess when you set the barrier low enough, anything can be defined as a “success”.

  2. Rabbi Rabinowitz praying for success and an extra dose of siyatta Dishmaya was certainly necessary.

Does Rabbi Rabinowitz have a guest book that President Trump is signing?

Who’s the one in the white kipa?

  3. I’m guessing the guy in the white shirt and white kipa is a senior official of the antiquities authority or religious ministry who provided the “color commentary” about the history of the kosel in a very simple, abbreviated chronology (since Trump famously will not sit still for more than a minute nor allow a briefing longer than a few bullet points that can fit on one page).

  4. Gadol, stop comparing everyone with your ex-illegal President, the corrupt liar-in-chief Obama. He’s b”H gone and we moved on b”H to an honest G-d fearing President, a mentsch with a golden heart. Who could have prayed for a better person until Moshiach comes?

  5. Gadolhadorah :
President Trump neither admitted nor denied at any time that the Kosel was part of Eretz Yisrael.
That historical reality has, of course, zero to do with the Kosel’s administration by the Zionist regime in Eretz Yisrael.

  6. Aryelah: If your point is we are blessed to have the Trumpkopf until Moisiach comes, than perhaps we should daven that those guys who run up and down Eastern Parkway every month or two with yellow flags singing about Moishiach coming “tomorrow” know something we don’t.

  7. Rt, can you explain what’s wrong with praying to have a good non-Jewish leader, a true ohev Yisroel, which will make our life easier until Moshiach comes? You should also pray for this.
