Attorney David Shimron, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu�s attorney, was released from house arrest on erev Shabbos and he took off on Sunday, 23 Tammuz, for a family vacation in the United States.

Shimron was one of the persons questioned by police in the ongoing investigation into Israel�s purchase of submarines from Germany. The probe surrounds alleged fraud, breach of trust, tax evasion, money laundering and other white-collar charges.

Attorney Amit Hadad, who is representing Shimron, told the media last week, �Despite the complicated situation from a personal and professional standpoint, attorney Shimron feels a measure of relief for finally, he has been permitted to tell his version of the events and present his perspective to law-enforcement officials�.

He states his client cooperated with police fully and will continue doing so whenever called upon by police in the future.
