Speaking at a forum hosted in Holon on Wednesday, 8 Elul, Education Minister Naftali Bennet announced he is significantly curtailing Chanukah vacation for students in the nation�s public schools.

The minister explained he plans to begin with this coming Chanukah, citing there will be fewer days off. �There is a great desire on the part of the parents regarding shortening vacation days and reducing payments. We did a great deal this year and saved a lot for parents. I asked the parents’ organizations about your priorities because I cannot do everything. They said unequivocally-vacations and this will begin this coming Chanukah in Israel.
