The bullying of drivers often leads to the risk of human life and road accidents. Therefore, the Israel Police, together with other bodies, are continuing to enforce traffic against offenses that lead to serious injuries and death.

On that note, Shai (Shomron-Yehuda) police over the weekend issued 689 summonses in an operation targeting dangerous vehicular offenses. An emphasis was placed on Route 60, the main vehicular road in both Yehuda and Shomron.

Cars were stopped for illegal passing and other violations viewed as serious as per the description above.

• 19 drivers had their licenses suspended.
• 16 vehicles with serious safety deficiencies were removed from the road.
• 21 vehicles were taken to be scrapped.
• 45 summonses were issued for speaking on a cellular telephone without a hands-free device.
