PHOTOS: A New Era For Beit Shemesh As The New Route 38 Opens

Deputy Mayor Shmuel Greenberg: The revolution and upgrading of the roads to the city has been completed.

This week, the central entrance route to the city will be opened as a complement to the Road 38 project.

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, 18 Cheshvan), the traffic behind the Paz gas station will stop and motorists will be directed to the new, upgraded two-lane road.

The remaining work is scheduled to be completed by January 2018, including the landscape development along the entire route.

Greenberg thanked Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz for his assistance and significant investment as well as Mr. Shalom Edri, a city councilman who was instrumental is bringing the Transportation Ministry on board. He also praised Mayor Moshe Abutbul for his ongoing efforts.
