Jerusalem Thief In Custody Following Month-Long Investigation


The suspect followed an elderly woman in the supermarket, and in a moment of distraction stole her purse containing personal documents and money. The police arrested a woman who lives in the center of the country

The investigation began about a month ago with the filing of a complaint by an elderly woman in the police, who said that when she finished shopping at a supermarket in the south of the city and put her bag in her car, she later noticed that it had been stolen from the vehicle.

A police investigation conducted using advanced technological means revealed that when the elderly woman was shopping at a supermarket in the southern part of the city, a woman was suspected of leaving the supermarket in the direction of her vehicle, when the old woman moved her bags from the cart to the trunk. The old woman made off with her bag from the front seat.

As the investigation progressed, with the collection of additional evidence and findings, the identity of the woman, 40, from the center, who was suspected of working with another suspect, was stolen who stole the woman’s purse.

On Friday, the police found the suspect in the center of the country, arrested her and brought her for questioning at Moriah station on suspicion of stealing from the vehicle and conspiring to commit a felony.

The suspect was brought on Sunday for an arraignment hearing.
