Latest Poll Places Likud At The Helm, Followed By Yesh Atid

A Geokatagraphica poll commissioned by Yisrael Hayom shows if elections were held today, Likud would be the largest party, with 31 seats. A poll taken just a few days ago for Makor Rishon placed Yesh Atid in first place with 25 seats and Likud in second place with 24.

The results of the current poll:

Likud 31 (up 1 from current Knesset)

Yesh Atid 26 (+15)

Machane Tzioni 13 (-11)

Bayit Yehuda 12 (+4)

Arab List 9 (-4)

Kulanu 8 (-2)

Yahadut Hatorah 6 (+1)

Meretz 6 (+2)

Shas 4 (-3)

Yisrael Beitenu 4 (-2)

The above results leave the right-wing in Knesset with 66 seats and the left-wing with 54.

Professor Avi Degani, who oversaw the poll, explains the Likud was hit hard during past weeks as much of the new focuses on police investigations against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. During that period, many Likud votes went to Bayit Yehudi, which climbed to 20. Then the left-wing began protests against the prime minister on motzei Shabbos, and the trend has now shifted back, away from Bayit Yehuda and to Likud.
