Lieberman Set to Convene Construction Council to Permit New Construction in Judea and Samaria

Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman has come under fire time and again for how he handles the civilian administration in Judea and Samaria. However, Lieberman has announced that he will be convening the highest echelon of the Building and Construction committee in order to permit a new building plan that will allow for construction to once again begin across these areas.

In an announcement that members of Lieberman’s staff sent on Thursday, Lieberman said that as part of his stance on strengthening the communities in Judea and Samaria he instructed to convene a meeting of the highest level of the construction council, in order to issue a permit for the marketing and construction of new housing options across all of Judea and Samaria.

While it is still unclear exactly what the scope of Lieberman’s building plan will be, it does seem that this order would bring an end to the unofficial building freeze that has been in place over these areas for some time now.
