Despite the storm that hit the country, public figures, rabbis, youth and families from all over the country voted with their feet and came to a special Shabbos in the Netiv HaAvot neighborhood of Yishuv Elazar in Gush Etzion, demanding the prime minister arrange something to prevent the destruction of the community’s homes.

The residents toured the neighborhood on Shabbos, seeing the absurdity of the plan for the destruction of the 15 families’ houses before their eyes, heard lectures and reviewed the preparations for the forced evacuation.

For example, the Cohen family from Kiryat Shmona made the trip to be part of the chizuk. “We arrived despite the heavy rains and difficult trip and the fact we planned to watch the streaming nachals again, but when we heard of the situation here we decided to give up on the nachals and do what we had to. We wanted to give a chizuk and call to make arrangements to legalize the homes in question”.
