NOW IN JERUSALEM: School Bus (Tender) With Children Blows Past Red Light

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

It’s not only in New York City that school buses carrying children to and from school have blatant disregard for vehicle and traffic laws. The attached video was taken in Jerusalem on Monday morning. It was captured on dash-cam, and submitted by the vehicle owner to YWN.

On Sunday YWN published a video of a bus blowing though a solid red light in Boro park.

On Friday YWN published a video of a bus passing a red light, and then 30 minutes later we published yet another video of another bus having a total disregard for the safety of the children and the safety of other vehicles and pedestrians.

It’s interesting to note that many bus drivers have taken to various social media platforms to bash YWN for publishing these videos. These are the very same drivers who take to social media to rant when a driver passes their bus while they have their red flashing lights turned on.

A bus driver is trusted with transporting dozens of children. They should and must be held accountable for this type of reckless behavior while driving children – just as drivers who pass school buses while their lights are flashing should be held accountable.

  1. When YWN is not busy report these traffic violations, they post other news.
Posting them here is not doing anything. Report them to the authorities!

  2. Unfortunately this is an everyday occurrence. Israeli drivers care little for the rules of the road and even less for parking regulations. It’s common for drivers to mount the sidewalk even though it’s full of children, to park on or obstructing crosswalks, or even worse to stop in the middle of the road and call for their young children to cross by themselves to get in. Not to mention talking on the phone while driving, speeding etc. etc.

It’s only b’chasedei HaShem that B”H we don’t hear more serious stories in the news every day.
When will drivers wake up and start taking their responsibility seriously?
