French Tourist Nabbed In Eilat Trying To Switch Expensive Bracelet For A Fake

Last Thursday, 21 Adar, Israel Police arrested a female French tourist in Eilat after she unsuccessfully tried switching a fake for a bracelet valued at NIS 38,000.

After measuring the bracelet on her wrist, she hid it in her body and returned an inexpensive knockoff to the clerk. Police were summoned, and the woman taken into custody. The original bracelet was returned to the store as well.

The store owner explained this is not the first time such an incident occurred, stating one must be exceptionally vigilant.
