Justice Ministry Probing Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Over Racial Comments

The head of the Government’s Coordinating Unit for the Battle Against Racism, attorney Kobi Zana, is probing remarks made during a shiur by Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita, who stands accused of racism. The probe refers to a recent shiur in which the rav made controversial remarks regarding secular justices and black people.

According to Zana, “these statements, insofar as they were said, are extremely serious and justify various administrative measures against the rabbi, perhaps on the disciplinary and even criminal levels, inasmuch as it turns out that the remarks constitute incitement to racism.”

The Unit turned to relevant competent authorities to examine and clarify these statements, so that the matter will be examined in depth and appropriate steps will be taken.

“The unit will continue to monitor and take all necessary steps to prevent such racist statements by civil servants and public servants, even in the future,” the unit’s statement read.

  1. The misguided secularists are no better than the Hellenist Greeks for thinking that Torah concepts can be censored through the filter of political correctness that is dictated by the ignorant.

  2. Utter stupidity!

He said Africans are common nowadays so the bracha of meshaneh habriyos doesn’t apply to them it applies to a black child born from white parents which isn’t common

    How is that racist?
