Israel: New Police Cameras Document Cell Phone Use And Failure To Use Seatbelts

New police cameras are in place in Israel, cameras which document failure to wear a seatbelt and those using a mobile phone without a hands-free device. Two of these cameras have already been detected on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway, Highway One; in the area near Abu Gosh and a second at the Harel Interchange.

It is reported that these cameras will photograph offenders, who will receive their summonses in the mail.
