PHOTOS: President Rivlin Meets With 120 IDF Soldiers Who Will Be Cited For Excellence On Independence Day

The President of Israel went out to the soldiers who excelled during their general rehearsal on the lawn of the President’s Residence for the Independence Day event in their honor. President Reuven Rivlin told them, “You are the next generation of leaders of the State of Israel, you are our pride.”

“Good morning to our pride, the pride of the State of Israel,” the President said to the 120 soldiers who had excelled at the general rehearsal that took place in the courtyard of the President’s Residence. “In two days’ time, you will be crowned as ‘Outstanding Soldiers and Officers.’ I want to tell you that the entire nation of Israel is looking at you, and your way and that of the entire Israel Defense Forces.”

The soldiers and officers will receive the certificates of appreciation from the President and the Chief of Staff at the 70th Independence Day celebration to be held at the President’s Residence under the headline “All Israel from Jerusalem” on Thursday. The rehearsal was held on Tuesday, 2 Iyar, on the lawn of the President’s Residence on the stage where the main event will take place.

The president greeted the excited soldiers and soldiers, passed between the lines, shook their hands and said: “The heart is filled with pride when we read about each and every one of the ways in which he passed until he was called ‘outstanding’, the importance of their role in protecting the people and the homeland. ”

The president turned to the commander in charge of the event, Lt. Col. Oded Nahari, the commander of the event for the 18th year, and asked to make sure that the soldiers are permitted to enjoy themselves and said: “I came here to see your activity this morning, First of all with the top echelons of the state and the IDF leadership, but mainly with your parents who are so proud of you and rightly so, you are the pride of our country. Thank you very much for what you have done so far, thank you very much for what you will do in the future. Today we salute you!”
