AS EXPECTED: UN Says They Found No Traces Of Iran Nuclear Arms Program; Britain Minister Hopes Deal To Remain On

The U.N. nuclear agency says it believes that Iran had a “coordinated” nuclear weapons program in place before 2003, but found “no credible indications” of such work after 2009.

The agency issued its assessment on Tuesday, a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released what he said was a “half ton” of seized documents proving that Iran has lied about its nuclear intentions.

The documents focused on Iranian activities before 2003 and did not provide any explicit evidence that Iran has violated its 2015 nuclear deal with the international community.

Tuesday’s IAEA assessment, which repeated an earlier 2015 report, did not directly mention Netanyahu’s claims.

But it noted that in its 2015 report, its board of governors “declared that its consideration of this issue was closed.”

Meanwhile, Britain’s foreign minister says the alleged new evidence presented by Israel about Iranian nuclear intentions shows why the international nuclear deal with Iran must remain in place.

Netanyahu said he hopes the information will persuade the United States and other countries to withdraw from the 2015 international nuclear deal with Iran later this month.

British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, however, said the presentation “underlines the importance” of keeping the deal’s constraints on Iran in place.

He says the deal is not based on trust about Iran’s intentions, but instead is based on verification and inspections.

Netanyahu provided no direct evidence that Iran has violated the 2015 deal.

  1. Of course they are not gonna believe it until Iran launches a nuclear missle toward them then the nations of the world will moan why didn’t we listen to Israel but it will be too late. This is all in Hashems plans to speed up Moshiach I just hope Klal yisroel can get their act together and realize the threat like Netanyahu presented it. We know all about Israeli intelligence if they say there’s a threat then they are usually right. So what are we waiting for ? Let’s do teshuva!!!! Don’t wait for the last minute when we hear Moshiachs footsteps!!

  2. We all expected this from UN, but Britain? What’s wrong with them? Maybe they’re just afraid of the arabs causing trouble in their country

  3. Let’s inspect an empty factory that Iran specifically cleared out, and hence verify that the program has stopped. We will ignore any evidence that the program has moved elsewhere. Solid investigation style, Watson, no?

  4. Why is this “AS EXPECTED:” and Netanyahu’s statement is “STUNNING MOSSAD REVELATION:”. If anything Netanyahu’s position is more to be expected than the UN’s.

The truth is there is no difference between what the UN is saying and what Netanyahu said. Both agree there used to be a nuclear program for weapons, not just for energy as Iran pretended. And both agree there is no evidence of Iran having broken the agreement.

  5. Unfortunately the rest of the world doesn’t care about the documents rather what fonts were used in Power Point.

  6. The rest of the world did not give a hoot when Yiden where shipped in the cattle cars to death camps. Stupid Bibi should learn from history.

  7. gavriel613: But IRAN said that they DID NOT have a nuclear program…and Bibi just proved that they lied and in fact THEY DID have such a program.
So how can they be trusted going forward that they don’t have something going on hidden away somewhere?
