Likud Continues to Climb – Poll Shows the Party Earning 42 Seats


A poll was conducted following the announcement by US President Donald Trump, that the United States was pulling out of the Iran Agreement formulated by former US President Barak Obama.

The poll was conducted by the Geocartograpia Institute and released on Wednesday, 24 Iyar. The poll shows that the Likud party headed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would receive 42 seats if elections were held today.

The Yesh Atid party, headed by MK Yair Lapid, remains in second place with 18 seats. The Machane Tzioni party, which today has 24 seats, drops to 10 and Bayit Yehudi, which today has 8, remains at the same number.

Only a portion of the poll was released on Galei Tzahal (Army Radio).
