An Exhibit Calling For The Killing Of The Terrorist Who Murdered Itamar Ben-Gal

An doll depicting the Arab terrorist who murdered Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal three months ago was hanged on Wednesday night the eve of 10 Teves in the Clock Square in the city of Jaffa with a hangman’s noose next to it. Police removed the effigy and reported an investigation will be launched. Attorney Itamar Ben-Givir accuses Israel Police of “loosing it”.

The Shin Bet apprehended the terrorist responsible for the attack, Abed a-Kareim Assi, who was taken into custody in Shechem. In his town, a doll likened to him wearing underpants and blood-stained hands with a rope hanging around was placed on display.

It is reported that Otzma Yehudi party activists are behind the act, aided by a student from Shankar, and by means of ladders they placed the doll and the rope during the night.

The head of the movement, former MK Dr. Michael Ben Ari, said that “this is an art exhibit, during which members of Otzma Yehudit cooperated with a student from Shankar who is behind the project.

“Human dignity and human rights belong to human beings and not to the scum of the human race who took a knife and slaughtered father of four small children and left behind a young widow.”

In his words, “We already have someone who is worried that he is being shown in his underwear, we are worried that he has not received a bullet in the head, and that we should honor the lives of the residents of Israel, not those kinds of murderers.”

On Thursday morning, 10 Sivan, police removed the display and announced that it would investigate the incident. Attorney Itamar Ben-Givir threatened that if the movement’s activists were summoned for questioning, they would file a claim. “The Israeli police are losing their temper and are becoming a thought police. The Police Spokesperson’s announcement that policemen removed the picture that was placed on the clock tower in Jaffa and even opened an investigation indicates that the police believe they have the right to censor art exhibits and even intimidate good citizens in interrogations.”
