Sunday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael

A 10-year-old child in Modi’in Illit suffered an eye injury from fireworks. He was treated and transported to a hospital by Ichud Hatzalah. The EMS organization urges parents to make certain their children do not play with dangerous fireworks during the Purim season as has become common in Eretz Yisrael.

12:02:

Wolfson Hospital nurses in Rehovot walked off the job for an hour in protest of the mounting work load, explaining they are collapsing under the growing patient load. The strike impacted the emergency room and internal medicine unit.
