Rav Levinstein Calls on Talmidim to Protest Against Toeiva Parade in Yerushalayim

One of the heads of the Bnei David Yeshiva IDF Mechina, Rabbi Yigal Levinstein, is in the news again, this time calling on talmidim to protest the upcoming toeiva parade, scheduled to take place in Yerushalayim R”L on Thursday, 21 Menachem Av.

According to the Walla News Levinstein is quoted telling his talmidim, “A vocal minority group was established in the Jewish state, trying to turn toeiva into a legitimate act and to recognize such relations as a family, and to compel the people of the Tanach to agree to such a shocking thing.”

Rabbi Levinstein added that “there is a small but vocal and verbal violent minority, which calls itself the LGBT organization, which encourages deviation and distortion of sexual orientation. It is working in every way and tries to bring an entire country to recognize the law that toeiva life represents a legitimate family.”

Rabbi Levinstein also refers to the storm that arose following the Surrogacy Law: “This is not enough, they also demand that men living a Toeiva lifestyle be allowed to bring children into the world and raise them in a reality of moral distortion. It is now clear to all that the struggle is not about individual rights. This is a struggle over the image of the Jewish state.”

Rabbi Levinstein, who had already raised a storm in the past by referring to the toeiva community when he called them “deviant”, said that “this issue is the spearhead in an attempt to erase the Jewish identity of the state. This is a frontal clash between a Jewish state and a state of individual rights and therefore tremendous efforts are being made to attack Judaism and to approve the law. We will not be confused with the values of equality for which they demand legitimacy. And that in the name of equality we will allow incest?”

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman previously has called on Rabbi Eli Sadan, the Rosh Yeshiva, to oust Rabbi Levinstein due to his statements against the toeiva community.

Rabbi Levinstein noted that he was “empathizing and understanding the pain of people with opposite tendencies,” but claimed that “we cannot blind our eyes to seeing the moral decay of male gender, and certainly not surrender to the crushing verbal violence against anyone who disagrees with them.” At the end of the article, the rabbi called upon his students to unite “all together, all those concerned about the future of the Jewish people and the Jewish family, to come to the demonstration against the abomination parade in the streets of Jerusalem.”

  1. I think the protests should be made against the city of Jerusalem and the Knesset for allowing and recognising these perverts as humans.

Sort of like a parade of muggers and robbers calling for equal pay for their dangerous work and getting government recognition too!

  2. There are different groups that are protesting the parade in yerushalim the tzad hashava all are tzyoni (Liba, Lehava) where is the Edah, Peleg, Ger, Belz, Mir, I’ll even accept neturai karta etc?

If anyone in Yerushalim sees this I beg you to protest this bizayon.

If 200,000 gays can come together in tel aviv, we should have 600,000 jews fighting against it in the ir hakodesh.

The achdus to fight a milchemes hashem might bring mashiach.

  3. Finally a sane voice. Now if we could get some other normal people to protest this disgaysting parade maybe we can fight back against these gangsters.

  4. Chareidi Protest Against Toeiva Parade in the Capital Planned

Hundreds of pashkavilim were thrown on the streets of Jerusalem on Wednesday, announcing a planned protest against the Toeiva Parade, scheduled to take place in the holy city R”L on Thursday, 21 Menachem Av.

The protest is set to begin at 4:00PM, meeting at the intersection of King David and Bloomfield Streets.

Thousands of participants from Israel and around the world are expected to turn out for the parade.

  5. this mageifah that is taking place, and of all places, in Eretz HaKodesh, and in Ir Hakodesh. This goes beyond forgiveness because this is not individuals who are sinning in private, but a horrific promotion of the sin that H’ hates the most and, literally, destroyed the world once before because of it. It is incumbent upon each and every real Jew who knows what Torah demands of us and know the difference between such an obvious wrong from what is right, to stand up and protest and pray that H’, when HE will unleash His Wrath, have mercy on all those who are writing, praying, protesting against these abominations, that no righteous Jew gets caught up in the destruction, whether it be earthquakes, volcanoes, etc., etc. Am also tired of reading comments which dwell on ‘modesty’ even where that is not a problem. If there are more well to do women who are observant and dress modestly but with better clothing and nicer head coverings or even wigs, how dare anyone criticize them; this has nothing with this gravest abomination. We are not commanded by Torah Law to live as paupers or restriction on normal pleasures. We now have a terrible situation where the whole Jewish nation will be accountable and must do what we can to stop this plague; otherwise, G-D knows what awaits the bnai Yisrael and the world at large. H’ yerachem.

  7. Important information for those eligible to vote in Jerusalem’s upcoming mayoral election…

3 of 7 Jerusalem mayoral candidates plan on attending pride parade

…MK Rachel Azaria, Ofer Berkovitch and Yosi Havilio all said they would be marching to show their support for the LGBTQ community. MK Ze’ev Elkin and Deputy Mayor Moshe Lion both said they would not be participating but did not condemn the event.

The ultra-Orthodox candidate, Deputy Mayor Yossi Deitsch of the United Torah Judaism faction, offered no comment when asked by the Walla news site if he would attend.

…Avi Salman, who is running on a secular ticket, not only said he would not attend but called for the parade to be canceled. He told Army Radio that he has very good relations with the LGBTQ community and was not opposed to a parade in Tel Aviv and other places in the country, but felt it was inappropriate for the capital. He claimed to be in possession of a survey finding that 90 percent of Jerusalem residents, not including the ultra-Orthodox community, were opposed to holding the pride parade in the city.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, who is not running for reelection, has never attended the parade during his time leading the city, saying he did not want to offend the capital’s Orthodox population.
