VIDEO & PHOTOS: Fire in Meah Shearim on Sunday Morning

A fire broke out on Sunday morning, 15 Elul, in 87 Meah Shearim Street, in the Meah Shearim section of Jerusalem. B’chasdei Hashem, there were no reports of injuries.

In addition, there were no reports of rocks or other objects being thrown as responding fire trucks, which is not the norm for Meah Shearim of late, as extremist members of the younger generation seem to have taken control of the streets from the elderly, more passive population.

  1. What!!! No one attacked the fire fighters??? Why weren’t the “tziyonim” attacked?! Could it be they went back to their yeshivas? Or maybe their getting “soft”? Or perhaps maybe, just maybe they realize that we are one nation and when other “yidden” are in trouble we help each other??? (I doubt they have learned this lesson…. way too progressive.)

  2. Of course the animals won’t throw stuff… they NEED the Nazis, shiksas & whatever other names they call First Responders to prevent their hovels from burning to the ground. I think they should have let the fire run its course (after evacuating the hovel residents.)

  3. “In addition, there were no reports of rocks or other objects being thrown as responding fire trucks, which is not the norm for Meah Shearim of late”.

Really, that second paragraph was uncalled for and plain hateful. How many fire trucks have been stoned of late? None. But your open hatred of religious Jews, who have to fight to uphold the values that are dear to them – in a so called Jewish state, is worse than the most Anti-semitic publication in Europe or the US.
The arthur of this article should be writing for the Jerusalem Post or Haaretz.

  4. to The MIR:

We who live in Jerusalem are well aware of the low animal mentality of many of the residents of Meah Shaream. Don’t try to play mussarman and deny the reality that often police, army and fire personal ARE ATTACKED there.

  5. The entire neighborhood needs to be razed to the ground and re-built. It’s a death trap and it’s unfortunately only a matter of time until there is a severe casualty event because ingress and egress is so limited.
