Security forces are continuing the manhunt for the terrorist responsible for the fatal shooting attack at the Barkan Industrial Park on Sunday, which claimed the lives of two people and left a third victim injured from gunfire.
The IDF, border police and Shin Bet agents during the night of 1 Rosh Chodesh Mar Cheshvan (Monday to Tuesday), operated with the Menashe Battalion, in and around the Palestinian village of Shuweika, near Tulkarem, the home of terrorist Ashraf Na’alowa, 23, who is suspected of killing his coworkers Kim Levengrond Yehezkel, 28, and Ziv Hajbi, 35, and wounding Sara Vaturi, 54, using a locally produced Carlo-style submachine gun.
Na’alowa’s mother and sisters were among those detained and brought in for questioning in the pre-dawn raid, but were later released, according to the Shin Bet.
Elsewhere in counter-terrorism efforts, in Bet Sira, security forces confiscated terrorist funds in the amount of thousands of shekels in cash, which was intended to fund additional acts of terror.
