Bayit Yehudi Opposes Granting Legal Status To ‘Illegal Infiltrators’ From Darfur

The Bayit Yehudi Party has released the following statement, opposing an initiative to give legal status to thousands of illegal infiltrators from Darfur, many having overrun southern Tel Aviv, which has become their home today.

The party explains, “Giving Status to Thousands of Illegal Infiltrators – Not in Our Duty”

Bayit Yehudi is vehemently opposed to the initiative and plans to oppose it tenaciously.

“This is an absurd decision led by officials who promote the spin as if they were refugees who had nowhere to go. It’s a lie that they have nowhere to go. Darfur is a region within the vast Sudanese state. Even if a small part of Darfur is in danger, they can be returned to the rest of Sudan, for example to the capital Khartoum, where the situation is calm and safe. This was also the case with countries such as England, France, Belgium, Italy and Australia.

There is no justification for absorbing these infiltrators into Israel. Granting legal status would create a huge incentive for millions more to infiltrate into Israel under the slogan “Sneak and you benefit”.
