Two Palestinians Killed in Collision Near Jewish Town of Beit Aryeh

Two Palestinians were killed in a motor vehicle accident that took place on Highway 465 near the Jewish town of Beit Aryeh on Sunday evening. Another person was moderately injured in the accident.

Ambulance teams from Magen David Adom and volunteer first responders from United Hatzalah as well as IDF medical teams who were dispatched to the scene attempted to resuscitate the Palestinians but were unable to do so due to the severity of the injuries suffered by the Palestinians. Paramedics in the field were forced to pronounce their deaths. The injured person was transported to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

Police have begun an investigation into the accident, but foul play is not the prime worry in the case.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Roei Sha’ar, said: “This two-vehicle collision was a very difficult situation. Two Palestinians are dead and an Israeli was injured. The Fire and Rescue Department were also active and worked to extricate the victims from the car as fast as possible. The car of one of the deceased had fallen off the road and into a ditch below street level.
