Jerusalem: Berkowitz Hints Chareidim Are Blocking His Entry Into The Coalition

Ofir Berkowitz, head of the Hisorarus party and the candidate who lost the runoff election against Moshe Leon, is calling on Leon to exhibit leadership and stop being pulled by the chareidi parties.

Berkowitz updated his party officials on coalition negotiations with Leon, explaining the option of entering the coalition towards serving constituents was weighed, with the hope the party might have a true influence on the coalition as well as its guidelines, as Hisorarus is working towards closing the existing gaps between the Hisorarus hashkafa and the forming coalition.

He told faction members “We began responsibly but our inclusion into the coalition is being blocked by one of the partners,” which may be a hint that he is being blocked by a chareidi party, leading Berkowitz to call on Leon to show some leadership and to stop permitting the chareidim to pull him around.

  1. Sears at the set of loser. He deliberately goes against all of the religious values and then he cries that they don’t allow him in the coalition? Why should they? Every normal person the world whenever one of your partner with people who are deliberately against their values

  2. Hysterical and laughable. Campaign on a platform of destroying the kedusha of Yerushalayim, campaign on a platform of ending any sort of chareidi influence on the city, campaign on a platform of battling Hashem and His Torah, and then cry like a baby when the very people you vowed to declaw shun you instead of welcoming you with open arms?? Get a grip. You’re a baby.
