Police Arrest Peleg Protestors Who Escaped From Police Van After Being Arrested [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

Police on Tuesday afternoon arrived in a number of Bnei Brak kollels and yeshivos and arrested both avreichim and bochrim who according to them, fled after being detained for arrest at the protest in Bnei Brak on Monday.

At the stormy protest, according to police, the persons taken into custody on Tuesday were inside a prison service vehicle when they decided to make a run for it. They managed to open the door of the minibus from inside and run. They thought they had evaded police and they were quite surprised when police showed up on Tuesday to take them into custody.

As a result of running after being detained, they face far more serious charges than if they would have remained in the vehicle at the protest.

  1. Bunch of sick, twisted and demented protesters who gd forbid consider themselves charedim.
Its a free world out there which means they can call themselves whatever they wish .

  2. 2-2tango you probably would say that about the maccabeim of 2000 years ago also their ikar milchama was against even less of a threat then giyus, their ikar milchama was against greek culture influencing the frum community

  3. אשריכם ישראל שמתרתא נשפשיכם על קידוש שם שמעים כזה!!! אין לך מראה יופי מזא בכל העולם

  4. its such a chizuk to see such mesiras nefesh for hakadosh boruch hu. rav shmuel zatzal was the matisyohu of this dor and bi`ezer hashem, bizchus the mesiras nefesh of our brothers and this kidush shem shomayim, zull zeinעמדתא להם בעת צרתם ומתרתא וזידים ביד עוסקי תורתך
to all the misyavnim commenting here, i give you a brocha you should be chozer to a tshuva sheleima b`karov mamash

  5. I’d like to know…when the hareidim protest, is that the only time they bring out the Yassam with the horses?
Only seen it at hareidi protests and, of course, the infamous Armona expulsion.
Looks like they have bought new crowd dispersal methods, as well, with the motorcycles.

Maybe Peleg should petition for a demonstration, like every other week.
They have to grant the right to peaceful protest.
Not sure why people are so negative on Peleg, most protestors just use the basic nonviolent means of protest, refusal to move.
I don’t see other groups receiving such insults and there the police even protect them.

  6. throw these disgusting bochrim into the army and their lousy rabbonim into jail. They might learn a gemora better than me, but their behavior is disgusting!

  7. Do you think 4 video clips and 34 (mostly repetitious) still photos are enough? If the article about the avreichim who learned Shas several times this year showed this number of videos and stills, think what sort of message THAT would convey. Demonstrating our priorities is important.

  8. I used to believe that maybe Peleg had an argument, however the way that they entered the coalition in Beit Shemesh with a City Mayor who took Mikvos, Eruvim and Kevura authority away from the Haredim proves that (for at least those in charge) this movement is about gaining some power and not Torah.
As the Litvish Robbonim and Shas forbade their councilors to enter such a coalition, this party which campaigned that they were Charedim from the past happily took up their one seat position offered and proved they are garbage.
I actually feel sorry for the Avreichim who miss learning to take part in this bittul torah because they were fed a load of lies…there is no mitzvah in this!

  9. @After Eight
    Shalom,
    I live in Israel.
In fact, when my son got married a little over a year ago in the center of Yerushalayim, my daughter who was traveling from Haifa, in a rent-a-car with her husband and year old baby almost didn’t make it to the chuppah on time because of a Peleg demonstration.
So, if anything, I have reason to be upset at these demonstrations, but people are not all the same and they support different ideas and have different rabbis. So I think what’s important is that people are treated equitably, and, in my view (FROM ISRAEL), I think they are not treated equitably and are disproportionately maligned.
I think there are lots of groups in Israel that hold demonstrations and they do not see the type of police action as when these guys protest.
I am totally against the violence that very occasionally breaks out and the maligning of our brave soldiers, both male and female, but , really, sometimes people here sound like the Jerusalem Post, IMHO.
The last statement was not to be taken as directed at you, personally.
