PALESTINIAN TERROR: TWO DEAD in Shooting Attack at Givat Assaf in Shomron [UPDATED 11:40AM IL]


11:40AM IL: Magen David Adom is confirming that two persons have been killed by terrorist gunfire in the shooting attack at Givat Assaf, in the Binyamin Regional Council of Shomron.

11:35AM IL: EMS officials report that three persons have been seriously wounded by terrorist gunfire at Givat Assaf, which is located about two kilometers (1.2 miles) south of Yishuv Ofra. A terrorist opened fire from a vehicle at people who were standing at a hitchhiking post, stopping the vehicle and then driving off.

At least two of the victims are in cardiac arrest and two others are described in very serious condition, a woman and a young person, being transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

11:19AM IL: Gunfire rang out at Givat Assaf Junction in the Binyamin Regional Council of Shomron a short time ago. Magen David Adom EMS personnel are responding to the scene along with the IDF and other emergency services. Initial reports indicate three persons have been wounded by gunfire.

Conflicting reports state gunfire is still heard at the scene. There are also reports of a vehicular ramming attack.

Yishuv Ofra is the scene of the shooting attack on Sunday night, in which a 21-year-old pregnant woman was critically wounded by gunfire. Doctors were forced to deliver the fetus in the 30th week of pregnancy as they fought to save the young mom’s life.

Unfortunately, the baby boy was niftar on Wednesday and B’chasdei Hashem, the mother, Shira Ish-Ran is recovering, as is her husband Amichai, who is in light condition from his gunshot wounds.
