Tzipi Livni Slams Bnei Brak For Banning Election Signs With Women’s Photos [VIDEO]

As the election campaign signs have begun to appear in recent days, the anti-chareidi parties are taking advantage of the opportunity to launch another battle against the chareidi tzibur, accusing the Bnei Brak Municipality of not allowing women to be represented in the urban area of the Torah City.

The person who started this latest anti-chareidi campaign is the chairman of The Movement (Hatnua) party, Tzipi Livni, who according to recent polls will be lucky to earn a sufficient number of votes to pass the minimum threshold to enter Knesset.

Livni posted a video in front of a sign without her face on it, saying that she saw it on the way to the supermarket near her home. Livni lives in Tel Aviv, near Bnei Brak.

Livni was edited out of the billboard, while her male-colleagues remained. Livni posted the video to her Twitter account Saturday, offering criticism and worry.

“You understand, it’s not my face they want to remove, but the faces of you the women of Israel, over 50% of the population,” she told her online audience.

The Yesh Atid party headed by Yair Lapid, has already turned to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit because Bnei Brak City Hall has refused to have certain election signs displayed due to the very fact they display a woman, which is objectionable in Bnei Brak.

“This is a dangerous decision for Israeli society and for Israeli democracy. The conduct of the municipality of Bnei Brak is outrageous and must be brought to an end, and we urge you to intervene in this matter,” party officials feel.

  1. Livni does not care for the sensitivities of the local citizens, she only care to hit the religious people. If they put up the poster with the woman’s face, it will be ripped down faster than she can count.

So it is the message that is important (check for breast cancer), the people who read it (folks in Bnei Brak)who are important, not what the left (who lives far away) and not what the left (who hates religious people ) thinks that is important!

  2. Garlic, substitute chareidi for women in your excuse and you’re justifying a chiloni community’s objection to shuls, kashrus and mikvas.
