Authorities Dismantle Illegal Structures Near Kochav HaShachar [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

Hundreds of border policemen accompanied by Civil Administration forces arrived at Givat Maoz Esther on Tuesday morning, which is located in the vicinity of Kochav HaShachar. The forces encircled the houses and began to carry out the destruction. At the end of the destruction operation at Maoz Esther, five structures and an animal pen were demolished.

Residents of the area reported 600 policemen came to the area accompanied by heavy tools that participated in the destruction. Residents fear the destruction of buildings on several hills near Kochav HaShachar.

In Givat Maoz Esther, where the forces began to carry out the destruction, there are a number of houses, including the home of a young couple who married a few months ago. As of 09:15 AM, six girls were arrested by the police after they came to protest the destruction.

It is also reported that chemical toilets were set up for the forces, indicating that the police apparently arrived at the site for a large-scale operation that will last for some time. After the destruction at Maoz Esther, the forces concentrated in one place for breakfast and continued to organize on their way to additional places.

“Our experience in such events is that human rights are being trampled on grossly,” said Shmuel (Zengi) Meidad, the director-general of Honenu.
