Border police operating at the Shuafat Crossing were attacked by firebombs, fireworks and rocks, as well as confronted with violence on Tuesday. Police opened fire after feeling they were in life-threatening danger and wounded one attacker in a leg.

The wounded man was transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital, listed in light-to-moderate condition.
