Chareidi Deputy Council Head, His Wife & 2 Children Arrested by Israel Police


Israel Police on Sunday arrested four persons suspected of corruption. The persons include a senior official in a southern Israeli council. The investigation is being handled by the Lahav 433 Major Crimes Unit in Israel Police and the Southern District Prosecutor’s Office.

Police searched the homes of the four suspects as they were taken into custody. It is reported the suspects face charges including public corruption. Among those in custody is the deputy head of a council from a chareidi party serving in Southern Israel. His wife and two children are in custody too.

Police have not released details in the case at this time, but points out the investigation is ongoing.
