Chief of Military Intelligence Major-General Yair Kochavi commented on the ongoing civil war in Syria warning that country is becoming a base for global jihad and radical Muslim activities.

09:30:

Sirens heard in the area of the Defense Ministry on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv were due to the ongoing Homefront Command training exercise.

09:45:

A soldier who was playing with a stun grenade at the Maccabim Checkpoint sustained moderate injuries when it detonated. Two others soldiers in proximity of the grenade are suffering from tinnitus.

10:02:

Train service between Herzliya and Binyamina has been suspended in both directions until Sunday to permit track repairs. Shuttle buses will be operating to accommodate riders.

10:28:

Two Kassam rockets landed in the Eshkol Regional Council area. No injuries reported. Sirens did not sound.
