Report: FM Livni was a Mossad Special Ops

According to a London Times report, Israel Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni was not just a desk jockey during her stint in the Mossad Intelligence Agency, but a Special Ops agent, deeply involved in Israel’s manhunt for wanted terrorists in Europe. While she reportedly never actually eliminated one of her targets, she did play a pivotal role in setting the stage for a target’s elimination.

One such target was senior PLO terrorist Mamoun Meraish, who was reportedly shot dead in Athens by Mossad agents on August 21, 1983. It was shortly following that mission that Livni resigned, returning to Israel to complete her law studies.

Today, 49, the former Israeli spy is indeed a candidate to become Israel’s next prime minister. Opinion polls place her atop of the Kadima Party list and in certain circumstances, a likely candidate for the nation’s leadership slot.
