Tuesday AM News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael

IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron during the night arrested 16 suspects.

10:00:

The Knesset this morning opens its doors to the public ahead of its birthday, which is Tu B’Shevat. Special activities will be ongoing up to and including on Tu B’Shevat.

10:33:

The IDF on Monday began a telephone call up of reservists to test the activation system. During the multi-day exercise, reservists will report to their units. During the multi-day event, explosions and sirens will be heard and a noticeable increase in military vehicles will be seen in areas around the country.

Police pulled over PA (Palestinian Authority) Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah for reckless driving on Route 60 near Ramallah. The PA PM called police “a dog” and police eventually apologized and release the PA official.

11:11:

A mass causality training exercise is taking place in Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer Hospital. The event runs from 8 AM – 2 PM.

11:30:

Weapons and ammunition were uncovered during a search in the PA village of Azariya near Maale Adumim. A 24-year-old resident was taken into custody.
